Samsung Watch Strops - Variability and fit

So, I swapped out the straps on our Watch Ultra. After no "ULTRA" use manky, we noticed immediately a slightly different fit. Mine is usually a 6 eylet, yet it felt loose.

Thought nothing of it and had a right good sleep according to the Mrs and SHEALTH, but a 1hr total drop is sleep recording.

So down the rabbit hole of trying 4 different straps, all Samsung Ultras and all slightly different fits (loose or tight), I would say millimetres but it does make a difference.

Any thought I'd share in case anyone else think its sleeps tracking gone pear shaped.

How does it make a difference a few millimeters? I have a Galaxy Fit 3 smart band and I don't sleep with it.

Product variability is a significant factor; every slight variation, such as for each component, gives a larger tolerance stack. For example, a 0.5mm variation here and there can add up to 3mm.

But for the watch strap, I assume it is the hole template and or the band bend, maybe the overall length ...

This equates to minor differences in fit, as it is not possible to get the exact hole you want on the strap.

Thats why I used to love milenese straps
