Firstly, to caveat my response, I am not a medical professional and therefore I cannot make medical judgement. I would echo what @iminvti has said, if you have any doubts about your heart health then contact a GP or consultant for advice.
However I am someone that relies upon the heart rate and ECG functions of my Watch 5 pro regularly.
I personally have a serious heart condition. So much so that I have a heart pacemaker / ICD embedded in my chest that has an in-built defibrillator and regulates my low heart rate.
My resting heart rate is paced by my device to a minimum of 60 beats per minute. However there are sometimes when my watch is in error and will show for momentary periods that my heart rate is lower than its pacing rate... 50 perhaps, or even slightly lower. This is just not possible, and the watch is actually in error. This is not avoidable that occasionally it will misread the beats, and there is only a certain amount of accuracy that a wrist sensor can provide.
I also have a chest monitor made by polar. This is a more accurate device generally, and I will say that for most of the time, the watch and the chest monitor align fairly well... especially during exercise.
However there are some times when the watch makes a mistake... especially with the low resting level.
The message I am passing on is that the watch heart rate for most of the time is a good indicator of your heart rate, but please don't make medical judgements based upon its results. If you have concerns then seek further cardiologist help.
P.s. the ECG functions of the watch 5 are also fairly good as an indicator of heart health as well. I use this ECG function fairly regularly to check for normal sinus rhythm.
