Please help. Watch face always on does not work

Hi. Can anyone help me? I am so fed up with this.

I have the watch face option always on turned on but my watch goes black after a short while and will not come back on until I press the button.

Is there a fault or bug with this? Is my watch broken?

All I want is to be able to see the time always.

What watch you have? I have GW5 Pro and when I select "always on " turned on using the wearable app it works fine
