keep samsung health active while running

I have a samsung watch 6 and use the Samsung health app to record my runs. After an update, the watch switches back from the Samsung health app to the main watch face within a few minutes. Before it stayed in the Samsung health app without problems. Fortunately, Samsung health runs in the background, but it is not particularly optimal. 

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

The watch is set to "Always on Display".

Its not the always on display problem.
Try force stop the app.
Toggle on the activities to detect.

This is a fixed in a setting on the watch itself.
I'll try and explain how to find this.
On your watch, start and activity, such as running.
Immediately select Settings
Scroll down, quite a way down until you see Screen Always On. Make sure this is toggled on.
This should solve your issue.
But be aware this setting uses more battery.
