itchy ears with the buds

I have noticed over the past couple months that my ears are itchy after wearing my buds for about 40 minutes and will continue even after taken out.  They can also feel oily, but I dont have excess ear wax or anything like that.

I can see that this has been brought up in the US forums and no one really has an answer for it.

Doctors think its the earbuds but I havent had this issue before.

Any ideas?  Are there other tips we can buy for them maybe?  I love them and want to get the new ones when they launch but I may have to stop if this is a material/design issue.
