Issues with setting up Galaxy Watch 7 with S25 Ultra

Hi - I just received my new S25 Ultra, and Watch 7.  I've previously had a Watch 6 with S21 Ultra, but the S21 had a dip in some water and is fried, so I'm having to set stuff up without the luxury of access to my old phone.

I've managed to connect the Watch 6 with the S25 via the wearables app, with no problem.

The S25 and Watch 7 do find each other and I get the code to connect them, but when it wants me to go to the Wearable app I am stuck in a loop with it wanting me to find my google account in the Play store (which is already set up.)  So it asks for the Gmail address or my mobile number, then tells me the account already exists on the device.  Well I know that, but it won't let me get past this to finish off the set up in Wearables.  I just can't seem to get past this, which is why I set up the Watch 6, as I wondered if the problem was because I already had a wearble connected to another device which hasn't been disconnected.  But now the watch 6 is connected to my new phone, it's made no difference to being stuck in this loop when connecting the watch 7.

 

Any ideas please?
