Hi there, the Samsung Galaxy Gear 3 watch is not compatible with new Samsung Galaxy phones that run Android 14 or newer, including the Galaxy S24 series. The Gear 3 is compatible with phones running Android 4.3 through Android 13 and with at least 1.5 GB of RAM. Because Samsung stopped supporting select Galaxy Gear wearables on new Samsung devices released in 2021. This decision was made because it was no longer possible to maintain service quality through app updates alone.

SO THAT MEANS I CAN THROW AWAY MY GEAR 3 WHICH IS STILL IN MINT CONDITION ?

IS THERE A SCHEME TO GET A 50% DISCOUNT IF I BUY A NEW SAMSUNG WATCH AND RETURN THE OLD ONE ?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to use it on your A55 device. You can use it on older devices though also for trade-in, you can use this link to check it out https://www.samsung.com/uk/trade-in/?srsltid=AfmBOooLT6gq4kdJH6R2MCpcCy73qNwBO6ZI5novuybydqETQBFddWw... hope it helps

If you download an older version APK of the Galaxy Wearable app, as well as the Gear S Plugin you can force it to work.

  1. Download the APKs

  2. Turn on airplane mode

  3. Manually turn on Bluetooth

  4. Change date and time to December 2023 (I used December 3rd)

  5. Install the APKs, Galaxy Wearable first and then the Gear S Plugin.

  6. Start to pair through the Galaxy Wearable app. At the end of the process when the devices are pairing, you'll have to turn airplane mode back off for it to finish.

  7. Change Date and Time settings back to automatic once it's finished.

  8. Never update the Wearable app again, and enjoy.

You will have to setup your watch again, as the backups of your settings can't be accessed, but otherwise it works beautifully on my Gear S3 Classic.
