My heart rate does not match my actual heart rate.. currently reading 53bpm.. I have done a reset. This has not resolve the issue. I have also contacted the samsung tech support and tried to do troubleshooting steps but didn't work..

Heart rate measurements from the wrist will not be as accurate as a similar chest monitor or medical grade equipment.

The sensors are just not as good from a wrist measurement. However these are improving all the time. The later generation watch 7,8 and ultra models have updated sensors... you haven't mentioned what watch you own ??

I have a fairly serious heart condition. I do monitor my HR quite carefully and hence I know from my own measurements. I use my watch 7 ultra as an indication, and it does sense a bad rhythm and ECG test, and generally is pretty good on heart rate during walking, when checked against a polar H10 chest monitor. However at resting pace it can be a bit less accurate. If I want accuracy I will always go with the chest monitor.

Which device are baselining against ? One is 72 and one is 53. Which one is the more accurate?

Perhaps your actual HR is around 60 and each device is around 10 bpm either way ?

It is hard to know which device has the better accuracy. How do these devices read if you were under exercise, jogging or walking? Are they similar? Often it is the resting heart rate that shows different but 'under stress' they are closer in their readings.

There are a number of unknowns here, and although you assume the watch ultra is the one that is out of tolerance, it may be they both have a minor inaccuracy. It may be the watch ultra with updated sensors is more accurate than the other device.

Only if you benchmark a number of different devices can you tell which is actually showing the error.

I have actually used now 4 other different devices.. 1 watch Polar apple watch and 2 machines which you grip onto in the gym and they are all within 2-4bpm however when I was training hard they were showing heart rate of around 175 pm which is normal ans more realistic the samsung ***** was showing 120bpm. No where near so even more out.. it been adjusted reset you name it. It is a peice of junk and only a month old... I will be leaving a very negative view online. Of the customer service and the poor attempts to resolve the matter.. then I will be selling it..
