Google Pay not working on watch 5 pro

I've been trying to add my card to my watch now for about a month and it just won't work, I'm using g goodgle wallet up to date and am with natwest, the same card I'm trying to link to google wallet on the watch is already linked to goodgle pay on my s23 ultra but it won't work on the watch. Any suggestions?

Hi @DexterMurray. I can't say this will fix your issue but this link hopefully covers it... https://www.androidcentral.com/wearables/how-to-use-google-pay-galaxy-watch-5 . It's been a while since I set it up but I don't remember any issues when I did it. I would definitely advise putting a pin code on your watch. This isn't inconvenient, and you only need to enter it if you take off your watch. The other point to note is you have to have the Google Pay app open on your watch when you touch the retailer's device to make a payment. You can make this easier by configuring the top right button of your watch to open Google Pay when you double press it. Hope this helps.

This was a fault when the watch 5 pro was 1st released  seemed to happen to silver versions only  and many banks Natwest included.

The error was fixed few weeks later , though saying that I've not attempted to add a card to google pay since
