Hey folks! a family member recently purchased a Galaxy watch 7 to pair to his Nothing Phone 2A. Now I get Galaxy watches are easier to connect to Galaxy phones than other devices, but we did it anyway. The problem is, The phone picks the watch up, but the watch doesnt pick the phone up. I had a whole issue before this with linking my Google account, But we've now resolved this. How do I fix this?!

Ah! I experienced a similar issue when setting up my watch after upgrading to the S25 Ultra.

Honestly, the only fix was to completely wipe the watch and then wipe the app data from the phone. Then, turn off the watch, reset the Bluetooth settings on the phone, open the app (getting the app on the phone ready to pair), and then turn on the watch. In all honesty, this took about three tries before it worked. Not an ideal method, but it was my personal experience- hopefully another solution arises

It sounds like you're dealing with an issue where the Galaxy Watch 7 pairs successfully with the Nothing Phone 2A in one direction (phone detecting the watch), but not the other way around (watch detecting the phone). This can sometimes happen due to a few common issues.

Here’s a step-by-step troubleshooting guide you can follow:

Ensure Both Devices Are Compatible:

Double-check that the Nothing Phone 2A is running an up-to-date version of Android that supports the Galaxy Watch 7. Samsung watches tend to be optimized for use with Samsung devices, but they should still work with other Android phones if they meet the minimum requirements.

Use the Galaxy Wearable App:

Ensure that you have the Galaxy Wearable app installed on the Nothing Phone. This app is essential for managing your Galaxy Watch’s settings and syncing data.

Open the Galaxy Wearable app and follow the instructions to pair your watch.

Reboot Both Devices:

Sometimes, a simple restart can fix connection issues. Reboot both the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Nothing Phone 2A and attempt the pairing process again.

Unpair and Re-pair:

If the devices are connected in some way but not functioning correctly, try unpairing them and then pairing again:

On the Galaxy Watch: Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > Unpair.

On the Nothing Phone: Go to Bluetooth settings and remove the Galaxy Watch from paired devices.

Afterward, attempt to pair them again using the Galaxy Wearable app.

Check Bluetooth Settings:

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both the watch and the phone.

Go into the Bluetooth settings on the phone and make sure it’s visible and set to “discoverable.”

Update Both Devices:

Software updates can resolve bugs or connectivity issues. Check for updates on both the Galaxy Watch and the Nothing Phone 2A and apply any available ones.

Permissions:

Make sure all necessary permissions are granted for the Galaxy Wearable app and Bluetooth connectivity on your Nothing Phone. Sometimes, app permissions can interfere with successful pairing.

If after following all these steps the problem persists, you might want to reach out to Samsung support or Nothing Phone support for more specific troubleshooting related to the devices' compatibility.

Also, feel free to share the image you mentioned, and I can take a closer look if something in the setup process seems to be off!

How do I reset the watch if it wont let me do anything with it? Will only let me power it off and that still doesnt do anything, I shall try wiping the app data. The popup appears to connect to the watch, But the watch doesnt do anything after that. Very frustrating

Wow okie yes, a little more annoying. Then maybe simply turning the watch off, leaving out the reset step

I have a S24 ultra. The phone and watch find each other. But when I go to put my email address in its saying this account already exists on the device?1745782992184.jpg
