Galaxy watch 6 classic, google assistant

The problem I have is that the galaxy 6 classic watch cannot see the Google assistant app in the play store, this watch is replacing my galaxy 5 pro, and my wife has a galaxy 4, both of which work perfectly with google assistant

Any ideas?

Ensure that the Google Play Store is updated to the latest version ( Google Play Store > Settings > About > Update Play Store). Then search again in the Playstore.

Thanks for you suggestion, I have tried this but the watch still can't see assistant in the play store, oddly enough I have assistant on my galaxy 5, when I search for it again in the play store it should come up and say open, telling the app is already installed, but I get the same as on the new watch 6, only google home is available

JUST PURCHASED THE WATCH 6 AND GOT THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT I FOUND IT ALL THE WAY DOWN WAITING FOR UPDATE. THANKS HAPPY NEW WATCH 7 IN 1 WEEK:P
