So I've bought a Galaxy watch 5 a few months ago and from the get go I noticed the battery barley lasted a day (on power saving) and, unsure if it's to do with the power saving mode or not, but swiping between tiles was laggy, especially when it came to Spotify. 
Anyone have any thoughts or similar issues? Do you think it's something to report back to Samsung and ask for a new device?

I thought this as my watch 3 lasted for a good 3 days.
The 5 seemed to lose 70% in a day, but I've been slowly turning off all notifications that I done seem appropriate and it's getting better

Sorry to hear of your struggles.

Have you tried any steps to rectify? Are you running latest software? Worse case scenario you could try factory reset?

But, if had the watch for months then you won't get a replacement.

Could call Samsung Support, look at some steps to try and sort and if it doesn't fix then can request a repair.

Don't know if it's also worth mentioning but the charging magnet that came with it died last week too. Only plugged it into my Samsung Laptop when needed. So don't understand what's going on here but it is frustrating.

I have yeah. Factory reset when I noticed, it's on power saving. And still just issues from day one. But honestly didn't think much of it as it's my first Samsung watch, just makes me think the watch products all around are terrible and untrustworthy.

Bought it around the same time as my S23 but since that screen is too small for my blind butt, hind sight, I've recently gotten an S24 Ultra. And even now I think I prefer rounded edges. That and I don't use the stylus. 😂😂 All in hind sight I suppose. 😂

I know the watch still charges because it does on the back of my phone, albeit really slowly.

Sorry to hear of your disappointment.

In that case, I'd give them a call and ask for repair so engineer can get hands on for you. Maybe also mention the cable issue too?

I'm going to get my second Samsung smart watch and it will be my last. I don't recommend this type of device. The smartphone is ok. But the smart watch is 3 and 5. I won't waste my time and money on any future model again.
