Since yesterday my watch 4 has suddenly developed mega battery drain for no apparent reason. Fully charged at 11pm last night and down to 15% by 10am today with no change to any settings. Fully charged it again until approx 2pm and in 3hrs the battery has drained by almost 50%. This is significant and is going to pose huge problems being able to wear the watch for even a working day

I got a new phone, so the watch was totally reset with that. May try it again though.

Mine wasn't "out of the box" issue but certainly within 2 weeks. Did a reset and performed better than straight out of the box👍

watch was perfect until 10 days ago, more than 16 hours of continous usage. then, without doing norhing, battery totally drained in less than 2 hours from 100%. factory reset done twice, bt off, wifi off, health off, sleep monitor off, aod off, cache cleared, all the f***ing suggests found applied. it is all switched off. all the drivers updated. now it is only a watch. it manteins the charge for maximum 4 hours. no idea on how to restore it and keep on using it. now I'm using it only to get the timer when i'm cooking pasta. thanks samsung.watch was perfect untill 10 days ago, more than 16 hours of continous usage. then, without doing norhing, battery totally drained in less than 2 hours from 100%. factory reset done twice, bt off, wifi off, health off, sleep monitor off, aod off, cache cleared, all the f***ing suggests found applied. it is all switched off. all the drivers updated. now it is only a watch. it manteins the charge for maximum 4 hours. no idea on how to restore it and keep on using it. now I'm using it only to get the timer when i'm cooking pasta. thanks samsung.watch was perfect untill 10 days ago, more than 16 hours of continous usage. then, without doing norhing, battery totally drained in less than 2 hours from 100%. factory reset done twice, bt off, wifi off, health off, sleep monitor off, aod off, cache cleared, all the f***ing suggests found applied. it is all switched off. all the drivers updated. now it is only a watch. it manteims the charge for maximum 4 hours. no idea on how to restore it and keep on using it. now I'm using it only to get the timer when i'm cooking pasta. thanks samsung

This is absolutely horrendous and it must be infuriating that you have a smart watch that isn't cheap that literally does just tell the time and nothing else.

I had the same issue. Figured out that my phone is downstairs. I'm sleeping upstairs so the watch is constantly trying to connect to the phone via Bluetooth, but it's to far away and drains out in the night trying to connect.  I turned on airplane mode last night and this morning it was still charged. So maybe either keep your phone close for bluetooth connection or turn on airplane mode at night.

I thought I had it fixed similarly like that.. alas it let me down the following night. Working on my own solution now. Switched dnd mode on the PHONE not the watch (same effect) and also blood oxygen and snore mode off. This has worked!  Gonna play around with the latter 2 selections to try and definitely isolate the problem. All other solutions I have seen didn't work for me.

Oh Samsung, really *****.. really. And, why does the stupid watch tell you at 4am it's battery is low (waking you) when dnd is on!!?  Simply wouldn't happen on an Apple device.. sad to say

Got mine brand new on August 29 and I was experiencing good battery life (~36h) until September  9.

On Sep 10, had to charge it twice in less then 12h. Granted, the first time I took it out with ~20% charger, but the second one I took it out of the charger at 100% around 6 pm, and it was dead the next day, 10am, without any usage: it was just in my wrist during the evening, and I didn't use when sleeping.

All apps are up to date, recent firmware too.

I'll keep an eye on it due to the unusual behavior.

Finally got to the bottom of it on my watch... turns out the problem was...*drumroll

THE COUNTDOWN TIMER! I use it as a form of alarm through the night and it totally sucks the battery. Even if it is on pause in the background. So odd

Another reason why your Galaxy Watch 4 Classic could be draining fast is because you have apps that need to be updated. Sometimes, these apps are updated when you update the Watch's software, but you might also want to check to update these apps manually. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.

Same thing happened to me. I ran the software update, and it's been abysmal since. I just factory reset the watch and tried again and within 90 minutes went from 82% to 18%. This from going more than 24 hours on a single charge with no changes to my usual activity or settings.
