Galaxy Fit doesn't vibrate for texts when phone set to Do Not Disturb

So I have a Xiaomi Mi 6 and a brand new Galaxy Fit. And the Galaxy Fit only vibrates when vibration is enabled on the phone. Which is weird, cause I want my band to vibrate, not the phone. I checked the 'mute the notifications on your phone when you receive them on your band' setting, tried other things. It does vibrate when you get a call though. Anyone else encountered this? I'd appreciate any advice

@voose05: When an alarm sounds, or when there is a call, message, or notification from your mobile device, the Galaxy Fit will vibrate. This feature is activated via the Samsung Gear/Galaxy Wearables app on the phone itself, and cannot be enabled on the watch. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks a lot for you reply.

That I understand. I meant that I tried all the settings in the Galaxy Wearables app. My guess is that the 'Mute connected phone' feature isn't working properly in my case. It probably should mute the notifications on my phone without setting it to 'Do Not Disturb' and send all the notifications to the band. Or, as on Mi Bands, setting your phone to 'Do Not Disturb' shouldn't affect the band at all, as it has its own notification settings and its own 'Do Not Disturb' mode.
