I've developed a severe ear infection in my left ear since wearing these. Has anyone experienced the same? I've seen many reports of this but no action from samsung from feedback from people.

Hi All,

As suspected, Samsung said that there is nothing wrong with the device and that I'm simply allergic to it. Isn't an allergic reaction the result of a faulty material of the device? They have offered a refund. I wonder if this is their way to stop people from suing them. Can anyone advise me on this?

Hi Nick,

Have you heard anything back form this?

I have been having bad ears ever since I have used the buds pro, I have only just thought about it being the headphones even though I have been using them for months. I just thought I was run down and after catching covid, I only just realised because I have been using my Overhead turtle beach headset and just some cheap Bluetooth headphones and have had no issue.

I tried my buds pro back on to day and now and I can feel my ears are getting funny and will no doubt start to leak again!

Yes can advise and give you the advice I got from a relative retired lawyer, unless you can prove permanent damage then you'd have a hard time talking it any further in regards compensation, no different than putting on new aftershave and finding you have a bad reaction, so you wouldn't use it again, same with the buds, bad reaction then don't use them, however if you find another in ear brand and you start to have the same damage again then you possibly would have a claim against Samsung as your ears are permanently damaged and said damage would stop you possibly ever using any in ear buds ever again, that been said Samsung have offered you compensation in a form of refund....

Your case for the sales of goods act will fail, Reason is Samsung has already offered you a refund and you rejected it? They for filled there contract as laid down by the government and you rejected it,case is closed .....you may now not get a thing, you should have taken the refund for the ear buds when offered, but made it clear you would be putting a further claim for damages, Samsung may have up there offer or returned the earbuds and then you could have made the S.O.G.Act against them,

SOG act not fit for purpose.
I didn't say I was putting a claim in for damages.
They offered a gesture of good will not a refund if I signed a disclaimer that I would not talk about it or post on forums like this. If I had signed it I would also waiver my right to claim for damages IF my ears suffered later on .
There is a class case going on in America over this issue, let's wait and see what happens

No I believe with enough people affected it becomes a health risk to the masses. I believe there is a point where it does become a legal concern and not just an ignored issue as it simply comes under an allergic reaction as what Peter is expressing here.

I've had these since March and they cause the same issues for me! Ear infection with watering in both ears. I initially thought it had no connection with the buds, just took a break from them for a month and let my ears heal and then when i resumed the ears started flooding again after 30 minutes of use. I once again gave ears time to heal, cleaned the buds properly and tried once more! Same thing happened again!

I've since used wireless seinnheiser momentum ones without any signs of infection. This has without a doubt discouraged me from buying Samsung products again.

I've been having similar issues since I bought mine. I switched over from an iPhone and AirPods to  Samsung Z Fold 3 and the Buds Pros and I've had major ear irritation since. I never thought about the Pros being the problem, but it lines up with my timeline.

I've noticed that my ears have a lot more build up and drainage than they have since I was a small child, and usually I can only wear the Pros for a short time before my ears get sore. I just assumed it's because they're not shaped all that well... This really aligns with what I've been experiencing.

It may be time to seek our a new set of headphones, which really sucks because these were quite expensive. Ugh.
