Broadcasting Heart Rate on Watch 7

My Galaxy watch 7 can't be used as a heart rate monitor on my Peloton tread and bike because unless the watch screen is active ( doesn't go to always on display ) the heart rate freezes until you fully wake the watch again which render it useless for this purpose.

I used to have a Garmin Venu 2 which did this perfectly and my wife watch 6 classic also work perfectly.

Does anyone know how to sort or is this a software problem Samsung?

Same issue here on my watch 7 ultra. Very frustrating 😕
This absolutely needs to be flagged to Samsung and sorted. I know the software is already there because it worked on my Watch 6 Classic.
Please sort this Samsung 🙏 😫

Agreed with both you and OP! I was using a Galaxy Watch 5 for this without issue, recently upgraded and noticed exactly the issue you described on the Watch7. Googled it to see if there was a solution, which took me to this thread

Came from Garmin, and this is the only thing missing, apart from battery life. 

Successfully tested Heart For Bluetooth,  which is a watch only app, with the Peloton app on my tablet. 

Will update after a few workouts.

Worked with my Samsung  Tab S7+ but not with Garmin Edge 1030 bike computer. 

Failed to connect it to Chromecast with Google TV. Easier to use the Peloton app on my phone and cast.

Concept 2 rower failed, but i think that needs Bluetooth LE or ANT.

Back to the Garmin strap!
