Since I installed the 6.0 watch update this morning, I've noticed my battery is losing power quicker. From looking on the Playstore, there are folks complaining about the app Health Platform may be causing battery drain?. (I have a Watch 6 Classic)

Thoughts??

I had similar issues but your suggested solutions didn't fix the problem. It persists. I wished I visited this page before accepting update, which I would have waited for another solid update.

Since upgrade I too am having multiple Issues,
1) take the watch off charge at 100% and it instantly drops to 98%,
2) battery on 100% apply sleep mode and battery saver, and after 6 hours it is either below 10% or dead. This was previously around 70 to 80%.
3) the move wrist to activate display setting is auto disabling. This has been switched back on multiple times both via the phone and wear app but few hours to a day later this is off again.

Initially this updated appeared good, but right now my watch spends more time on the charger than it does on my wrist.

I didn't have all those issues @JoeJoe407

@Glenntech reminded me that the battery issue would settle down (See above comment)

It certainly did... for me.

Update was over a week ago and issues have only gone from bad to worst.

Maybe one of the kind folks on here could offer a solution.

Yes, especially past few days, the battery life drop even quicker, I just checked my watch 6C drop 1% every 5min, I can't even use it for my full day!!!

I've noticed that after a certain period, the green light used to measure heart rate starts flashing continuously, even when I take off the watch. This drains the entire battery. After restarting the watch, it returns to normal behavior, and the battery is no longer affected. However, I have to restart it regularly because the issue reoccurs every few days.

The update is horrible. I go to bed with 100% charge and by morning I am down to 40% my watch (galaxy 6) has a brand new battery. It is In power saving mode and the battery is getting depleted. Talk about built in obsolescence. If they don't fix I will never buy another galaxy product.

It spoils the expectation you get from what is supposed to be a good product.

I have to say, mine has now got better... The health app was draining mine. I closed all it could do except for steps.

It seems the problem is coming from the autodetection of activities. Since I deactivated it, the watch works normally.
