Wrong screws for TV stand Crystal UHD CU7000 43

Please help! I recently bought a Samsung Crystal UHD CU7095 43 inch TV and the screws that came with it for the base are too big. They start to screw in then get far too tight and will not go in all the way. I asked Samsung Support which screws are correct and they are telling me M8 20-22 mm, but those seem far too large. Can someone help? What are the correct screws for the base (NOT a wall mount, just the legs that come with the TV)? Thank you.

Did the screws not come with any washers? If not, then do you have any washers that fit, knocking about the house?

I just ordered a set of different sized screws and washers, so we will see. The screws that came with the TV are slightly too tight (you can start to screw them in, but they get stuck before are screwed all the way in.) But when I asked Samsung support directly, they told me size M8 which is WAY too large. I think they were thinking of the wall mount. I just want to add the tv stand legs that come with the TV!

Hopefully, they will be the correct ones. Was worried in case the tightening was due to them being too long and penetrating something they shouldn't, hence the reference to washers.
