Universal Guide Search problems

I have a Samsung QE55Q9FN 55 inch.

If I use the search function within the Universal Guide it only gives me results for Youtube, no results for any of the apps or TV channels are shown, this is despite the Universal Guide listing options for all apps and channels in the main window.

How do I force University Guide search to list results from all sources and not just YouTube.

I have this exact issue as of a week ago! Very frustrating. I’m in the US and have the 2018 QN65Q9FNAFXZA… the only difference is  mine doesn’t show ANY search results. I’ve searched well known movies and tv shows, the same movies and shows I’ve previously searched in the guide , but now all searches say “No search results found. Try searching for a movie, program, channel, or application.” It’s like the guide lost connection to my apps and can no longer search them for the movie I want. 

Considering it’s been almost 2 months since you first posted, have you had any progress? Have you found a fix? I spent 2 hours on the phone with Samsung support and after trying numerous resets they gave up.

Hiya, I'm afraid I didn't get it fixed. I was thinking of having another go with support to see if they have a any new solutions these days. If I get anywhere I'll let you know!

I posted above as well, had the same issue and randomly it fixed itself after 3 or so months. I didn’t do anything different, just kept trying the search and one day it worked. Hopefully yours comes back too! 

In the meanwhile, there are apps on your phone that run the same type of search. I had downloaded ‘Just Watch’ to search across the streaming platforms for my movie/show of choice.

No change for me. Still youtube only. So no change to apps loaded (or removed) for you? If there is evidence that it can work that makes it both good for hope yet bad because Samsung do nothing about it and don't even acknowledge there is an issue...

My search function stopped working (issues an error 7 - server not available try again later) immediately following the last firmware upgrade.  So far, nothing I've tried fixes it.   All of my other functions are working, and the TV remains registered.

Still no change for me - search on TV gets YouTube results only. On my new Sony TV with Google integrated there is no issue though (hint hint Samsung). Stupid I had to relegate this beautiful quality TV into another room as its functionally inapt.

Same issue.  Samsung you need to get universal search this is basic functionality!
