ue55ku6400uxxu Screen overheating and marking

The screen on my UE55KU6400 tv has developed a glow to the base of the screen with a dark wash up the screen the area of glowing screen is very hot to touch and appears to be overheating.

That's not what we like to hear, @Adam Pickering! Could we take the current software version of the TV please?

Go to Home > Settings > Support > About This TV. Also, could you try running a Picture Test on the TV? Go to Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. Are you able to still see the darker banding on your screen?

thanks for replying, I’ve done the test and yes I can still see the banding when the test images are on the screen.

You have a backlight issue, you will need a screen replacement or backlight repaired (including diffuser). Contact you local service centre
