Hello, we bought this Samsung TV brand new a few months ago and it has an infuriating glitch... we like to listen to audio via a decent hi-fi system linked to the optical output, but from some sources, it just won't come through. E.g. if we are watching from our BT TV box as a source, you can hear the audio perfectly through the optical output, but if we try to watch the same channels from the Samsung TV's own apps, nothing but silence (except for some reason, on YouTube, it does sometimes work, and sometimes not). To top it off, we watch DVDs through a player which is connected to the TV via HDMI, just as the BT box is, but the audio doesn't work then either. And it doesn't seem to matter if i swap over the HDMI inputs I use for the BT box and the DVD player - still sound from the BT box, none from the DVD player. At the moment, we are just switching back to the inbuilt TV's speaker whenever we use one of those sources but it is very inferior sound. Very disappointing - especially when everything worked fine on our old TV! Any tips?
