Good Evening Everyone,

I hope someone can give me some advice please.  I have been onto the Samsung website and found an update file for my TV (QE50Q60CAUXXU) which is  1421 dated 13th May 2024.

I am considering manually updating using this file as the software on my TV is 1402.6.   I have tried using the auto upate function in the settings menu, but it tells me 1402 is the up to date version.

Sould I manually update using the newest Samsung file or should I leave the TV sofatware as it is?

Thank you for your help.

If it ain't broke etc etc. Unless, of course, you are actually having issues with the TV, in which case we may be able to help?

Thanks @Robin999.  No real issues other than it lost sound a couple of times and I had to unplug and reset.  Other than that, all is fine.  I just found a newer version!

I hear you. I'm just thinking that if the TV isn't recognising the newest firmware, then maybe it's not meant for it, and installing it might do more harm than good.

I agree @Robin999.

I think I'll take your advice and just leave it alone.  The TV is set to Auto Update so if it is meant for it, it will do it itself I guess.

Thanks for your advice.

Hey, no problem, I'd hate it if it broke your TV. It's not like you can install the previous firmware either, so yep, best leave it be.

Hi @Davie F  I would generally recommend having the latest software  (though sometimes it is beneficial to hear early  experiences)  There can be a few issues on ocassions,  however if no real problems fine to wait.
