TV UE50JU6800 - how to change country from France to UK

Having recently moved to the UK from France I would (obviously) like to change the Country option on the TV UE50JU6800 from France to the UK. I have tried a factory reset using Support > Self-diagnosis > reset. The only country listed is France. This topic seems to affect many people but I have found no useful responses. Can anybody please help.

Hi @Stu54321. The TV's are manufactured for their respective region, with catered apps and updates and as such, it's not possible to change the region.

Hi CarlH. Thank you for your reply. It is nice to know there is someone out there. After posting I tried Chat Support. The agent was very helpful and patient. He used remote management to reset the TV. I was able to select the TV to UK during the setting up and auto-tuning. However the TV was still insistent that the location was France. He then reset the Samsung hub to the UK so I could get the UK apps. He did warn me that resetting the TV again would result in the Samsung hub showing the French apps. It is a big step forward but the channel numbers remain scattered (non UK 1, 2, 3 etc.).
So in conclusion you are right but all was not lost with the non-permanent fix.
