TV suddenly has very low brightness and can't be changed

My mom's TV was working fine yesterday but, I turned it on today and it had a very dimmed screen,like it seemed like the TV was still turned off with the lights on type dim. I tried everything,unplugging and replugging,factory resseting the TV, trying to hard reset the TV, turning off settings that messed with the brightness in anyway, etc. Anyone here know a solution to this problem?

This is a chronic problem.  I wish SAMSUNG would acknowledge this is an issue and provide an update to the software.

My TV was working this morning then it suddenly went dim. So dim it looks black. I have to close all the curtains and sit a foot away to see anything on it. I've tried all of the "fixes" that are out there. Nothing is fixing it.

I have the same exact model, same exact problem.  Samsung support says it's not worth fixing (TV is 3 1/2 years old), but they can sell me a new one.  I won't be looking at any Samsung's....

Same here just happened to my Samsung randomly last night! So frustrating!
