Hi all,
Looking for some support and essentially some guidance as to whether my TV is completely dead.
Purchased a QE65Q800T in early 2021, haven't had any issues whatsoever for the past 3.5 years.
Mid way through watching a film just now, the screen froze, with thick vertical green bars appeared on the TV and it then wasn't responding to any remote functions etc. I've switched it off at the mains, and it will now not switch back on. The remote sensor on the TV flashes whenever I'm using the control but the panel itself will not switch on.
I did manage to revive the TV for about 10 mins after it being disconnected from the mains for around half an hour, but after a few mins it powered down and now again won't switch back on.
I'm also hearing an odd clicking sound every 10 seconds or so which upon investigation appears to be coming from the optical port, it's flashing on and off at the same time as the noise. Nothing has ever been connected to this port so I assume this is relating to a broader issue with the unit.
I've done a bunch of research and have only seen people complaining of vertical lines as opposed to thick ~15cm vertical lines which I assumed related to a different issue.
Any ideas at all on potential things I can do from here on in? It wasn't a particularly cheap TV so I'd have expected it to last a little longer than this.
Thanks in advance!

That's awfully frustrating - the unit cost £2.3k so frankly I'd have hoped it'd last a little longer than now. From what I can see Samsung are sending people round in circles when an item is out of warranty rather than paying any attention to the Consumer Sales Act too. Just seems like a total waste of what is an otherwise pretty slick TV but it appears these 8K TVs are absolutely hampered with issues of this kind from seeing other posts on this forum and reddit, looks like I'm certainly not alone.
