Our new QLED TV QE50QN90D is still puzzling me. With twin tuners on this model, I assumed that I could easily connect both Freeview and Freesat inputs (in the UK) - and just switch between them when needed. But no luck with that, so far.
How do I get app icons showing on the home screen for both Freesat and Freeview??
What I want is everyday normal Freesat, plus the capacity to record a broadcast and still have access to broadcast TV at the same time.
I've scanned both Freesat and Freeview channels, but I've only seen one app icon at a time on the home screen - either for TV terrestrial or TV Freesat. So, switching isn't there yet. (Nothing visible either on 'sources'.)
I can record from Freesat to a USB, but got a warning message that going back to the TV guide will stop the recording. Going instead then to the home screen now showed the TV terrestrial app/icon, which worked to allow watching a Freeview broadcast while still recording Freesat - ok, but after that I couldn't navigate back to Freesat (because I didn't have the app icon on the home screen anymore).
How can I set up to allow regular switching between Freesat and Freeview/TV terrestrial??
[EDIT1 my own first answer is thanks to an online video by briandoliver 'Samsung NU7400 switching between TV/Freesat Aerial.
Use the smart remote; hold the Channel button to get the Channel List; use the option top-left on the menu to toggle between Terrestial/Freesat.
I'm still interested in finding whether there's also a path to having two icons set up on the homescreen ...]
