Sid errors on samsung tv

Has anyone had this issue before and is it worth paying to have someone come out? My warranty has expired. 

 Remote will not register. I can't press any of the buttons.

is your TV connected to the Internet?? by WiFi or cable with a good connection speed..

Just got a tv for free from someone who had these errors.... Any luck? 😅 Thinking of taking it to a certified Samsung technician to fully reinstall the OS
