Set Top Box Not Being Recognized

I have had a new Samsung TV (UE43TU7100KXXU) for a little over a month. 

Suddenly, it's stopped recognizing the Eir (cable tv provider in Ireland) Set Top Box, which is a Netgem N8200. It displays the picture fine over HDMI, but the remote no longer works to control the set top box. The set box is working fine and its own remote works as it should without any problems.

I have gone through the Device Connection wizard on the TV and the TV recognizes that I'm connecting to Eir, becuase it warns me that I'm about to delete the connection, but then it doesn't recognize the set top box. However, when searched for it comes up with the model number for the set top box, but then when I do the channel change test, nothing happens.

Any ideas on what's happening or how I might resolve this issue?
