Samsung UE40D5003 DTV

I have just bought an old Samsung UE40D5003 and can't get digital TV working on it.

Any suggestions about how I should diagnose the problem? Could it be that it is disabled in some way?

I found out eventually, that I was given the wrong remote for the set
