I purchased the Samsung 55 AU7600 model in September 2022. After the warranty period expired, the TV started showing lines and flickering. In August 2024, the display completely went black, although the sound from the speakers still worked. Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing Samsung products.

Hi @Gouransh Pathak   My determinations tell me that this may be an Indian model ,  the Au models are mid tier but you have been unfortunate but short life not confined to Samsung (though on average should last at lest twice as long) Have you been in touch with Support in your region?  Some   troubleshooting in case you have not tried some of these:

Firstly check that you have the latest firmware on Samsung Support, can be updated via USB if not available over the air.

However that may not be the issue ,could try power cycling by unplugging from mains for at least a minute and/or Factory Reset. Are the lines permanent and on all sources? If still issues check cables are fine and if so would suggest disconnecting external devices for short period and trying again. Disconnect HDMi cables and unplug Tv from mains before trying again.

However if picture Test produces errors suggests there is a fault after other Troubleshooting suggests there is a fault  and would depend if a repair is viable.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

@OliverWinters Do you have an opinion on Samsung Tv's as this thread is not related to Mobiles? Realise you are a relatively new Member though.

Hi @JAMES4578 ,

Thank you for your advice and troubleshooting tips! I truly appreciate the time you took to share these suggestions.

When I purchased the TV, I was informed that it came with a 1-year warranty. However, in September, I learned from the shop owner that it actually had a 2-year warranty (1 year for the TV + 1 year for the panel).

The issue first started in April 2024, so I contacted customer care. An engineer visited but, without even opening the TV, informed us that the screen panel was faulty and estimated the repair cost at around ₹20,000. Since the TV was still showing purple lines but the screen was functional, we decided not to go for the repair at that time.

In September, while watching a movie, the screen suddenly went black, though the sound continued to work. We reached out to the shop owner regarding this issue, and that's when we found out about the 2-year warranty period. I contacted customer care again, but no engineer came to recheck the TV.

Given the situation, we dropped the idea of repairing the TV. Yesterday, I came across information that this issue seems to be common with this model, which is concerning.

For troubleshooting, I have tried resetting the TV 2-3 times and followed other basic steps, but unfortunately, nothing has changed.

Thanks again for your advice and support!

I have to take my negative review back as the company just replaced the panel of tv without any extra cost.
