Hi everyone,
The Input Signal Plus on my QN95B can't be enabled while connected to my PC (RTX 3090). By checking the option the screen turns dark. It works with my PS5 though so the HDMI cable can't be the issue (8K certified cable). All 4 HDMI ports are affected. Firmware is 1304, did a factory reset twice already.
Does anyone have an idea?

I can confirm Nico Velasquez description on QN90B 43" and RTX4080: Random permanent signal loss when turning TV on if TV was turned off while PC is continiously running. Happens more often if Windows screen protector runs.
Samsung support repudiates the problem although the TV firmware 1430.1 is obviously faulty for instance the backlight is sometimes confused in the mentioned situation of turning the TV on while PC is allready running and only partially lights the screen and is pumping.
Setting input signal plus is possible (the TV has a weird and inconsistent user interface) and i am using a HDMI certified 8K cable.

Hey I struggled with this a couple times too. Seemingly first time I used game mode/input signal plus it all worked then it randomly stopped. I was getting driven up the wall going insane trying to figure out fixes and finally found one that works for me. This is for the QN85B and RTX 3080 but I assume it'll apply to any similar samsung TV.
If game mode or input signal plus breaks / causes black screen / or says in cannot detect input signal, you'll need another monitor hooked up to your PC at the same time as your TV is. If it gives you an error when you switch to game mode or input signal plus, simply go back to your other monitor and:
- Right Click on Desktop
- Display Settings
- Select your TV screen on the top selection: eg. 1, 2, etc."
- Under "Multiple Displays" click on the drop down menu and select "Extend these displays"
This is what fixed it for me. I can play on game mode or without, at 120Hz. Good luck all.

Hey I'm glad it worked for you man! I know how annoying it can be when nothing seems to work and you paid a ton of $ for a good TV.
Enjoy!

Hey all,
I’ve been struggling for quite sometime with my QN65. I found this thread by googling “input signal plus pc issues”. I have a QN65 and a 3080ti graphics card. I’ve only been able to get the input signal plus to display my desktop after a short while of using the PC with input signal plus turned off. Not sure if it’s a game I’ve played or a video I watched that allowed my TV to complete the “handshake” mentioned in this thread.
I tried everything in this thread but nothing was working though it did help me identify some inconsistencies I was seeing in my NVIDIA control panel and display setting in windows. Here’s what I did that has so far worked. I’ve turned my PC off and TV, fired everything back up and I’m still seeing game mode, input signal plus, and HDR turned on for my PC. I’m not sure if the settings I’ve selected are the most appropriate for my setup but my PC and TV are functioning how I want them to!
- turned on input signal plus and game mode on my TV (this of course did not allow me to see my desktop but figured my PC would detect the TV and I’d be able to adjust the settings within my PC until I saw the desktop pop up on my TV)
- opened up Remote Desktop and navigated to the NViDIA control panel as suggested in this thread
- under change resolution tab I switched everything to 4096x2160 and adjusted the refresh rate to 120. I also switched the color setting from default to NVIDIAs color settings (32 bit, 10bpc)
- under adjust desktop size and position tab I overrode scaling mode, set resolution to 4096x2160, refresh at 120hz then hit apply. My TV at this point displayed my desktop.
- under setup G-sync I turned this function off. I know certain TVs use this feature but I don’t believe mine does. This was enabled by default for me.
- I went back into my windows display settings and ensured desktop mode and active signal mode matched as 4096x2160 at 120hz, I confirmed I was running in 10 bit.
- I then started poking around in the TV settings.
- picture mode graphic
- game mode set to auto, I turned on all game motion plus settings.
- HDR10+ gaming set to advanced
And now I can turn my PC and TV off and so far preserve these settings and enjoy my PC games in HDR.
I am noticing that my TV is now experiencing lag in processing my commands and switching windows / sources which makes me think something is glitchy with the settings overall but it’s working!
Hope this helps someone and saves you countless hours of searching for a fix! Good luck

I know this thread is a bit old, but I was able to fix the issue with my S90C based on your advice. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a month and can now close my repair ticket with Samsung. Thank you so much!

Had to make an account as well to thank you lol! This feature has always worked for me but randomly stopped about 2 weeks ago, but your solution just seemed to work!
