Hello, should my tv support this? I only purchased it a few months back thinking it was top spec. Sky have started broadcasting football in HLG HDR but on this tv it’s all very dark.

Hi @Lavster First of all check you have a compatible Box https://www.whathifi.com/advice/how-to-watch-hdr-on-sky-q If so your Tv certainly should support this. Just checking that in the Sky Box the picture resolution is set to 2160 10 Bit. If you check the Expert Settings on the Tv Brightness should be set to Maximum and HLG selected under Gamma. You should also ensure that that Input Signal plus is switched on via Settings-General-External Device Manager. See more here https://technastic.com/best-picture-settings-samsung-tv-uhd-4k/
If issues remaining you may be advised to factory reset your TV and check your HDMI cable.

I have bad news. Earlier Samsung LEDs do not handle HLG well at all. The result is a horrendous dark or contrast filled picture.
I recently got the Samsung q95 and it’s a totally different outcome. The UHD picture looks as it should, bright, sharp images, the difference is unbelievable. However, it does not excuse Samsung leaving millions of owners with hopeless TVs
