I have a Samsung Q60 Crystal 4K tv and the screen went blank yesterday. A thin line had appeared 3 months ago but it didn't bother me. Now it tries to turn on, red light flashes, but shuts off again. I only bought it 2 years ago. Any ideas or is this the life expectancy of a tv now. Ironically I'm having to switch to my old tv which was a spare. Expected better quality from Samsung to be honest.

Hi @RallyD  A warm welcome to the Samsung community :smiling-face:

The average lifespan of a  QLED Smart Tv is around 7 years , some are unfortunate though.

check connections are secure and no issue with cables. otherwise  Can you try a soft Reset by holding the power on the Smart Remote for around 5 seconds until the Samsung logo appears. does this make any difference?

If not I suggest you power off the Tv and unplug at the wall  for  1 minute before trying again.   However a flashing light tends to indicate a more serious issue.
