Hi, i have a tv model UN55MU7000 and a soundbar HW-J250 conected via bluetooth. I can select the soundbar or the speakers in the tv, but not both of them.

In Menu > System > Accessibility > Multi-output Audio is greyed out. I can not select it.

How can i solve this? thanks.

Hi Jamie, save yourself a ton of frustration with this problem and buy one of the Bluetooth transmitters I mentioned in my post a few days back.

I'm having same problem as op. I have a Samsung qled 90r tv with the q70 sound bar . I tried to hook up 2 insignia bluetooth book shelf speakers as my rear speakers. It seems that I can only use TV speakers/insignia speakers (Bluetooth) or the sound bar.  But I cannot listen to sound bar and Bluetooth speakers simultaneously. Cuz you can only either choose tv speakers audio out or soundbar audio out. Whick turns off bluetooth.I also tried to get the insignias to hook up Bluetooth to the sound bar but seems incompatible with Samsung sound bar and insignia. They would not pair. Probly Cuz I already have the subwoofer hooked up via Bluetooth. Really wish I could use both the sound bar and "rear" bluetooth speakers together.  Its a shame. Really wanted to get this to work. I have no main receiver to hook it all up. It would have been a simple set up for this TV's connections.

I might add that choosing TV speakers turns on the multi audio output in accessibility settings. When choosing HDMI source, it immediately greys it out. So you cannot use both HDMI and Bluetooth together. What is the point?

Samsung Bluetooth set up will drive you crazy. If your Optical Audio out port is free the Avantree Bluetooth transmitter I listed in my post on this discussion a few days ago works fine for me. Provides Bluetooth output to 2 devices independent of and simultaneously to Samsung audio. It also provides me with a means of muting the TV audio if I should wish to do so whilst listening via my headphones without disturbing others. Means spending a little which shouldn't be necessary but stops you from pulling your hair out. Good luck. Bob

Just a quick question. If this device is hooked up to the optical audio port. When I choose optical out in my TV sound settings. Then, it seems that it will turn off my sound bar that is hooked up to my arc HDMI port. It won't let me choose both HDMI (sound bar) and optical out at the same time. Leaving me back to square one. Not sure how your set up is. Do you have a sound bar set up to your TV? Or Are you using the TV speakers? My only choices for audio out is TV speaker, sound bar (HDMI), optical, and Bluetooth speaker list. I can only choose one and the others cannot be used at the same time.

Hi Maverick, I use the TV speakers. The only options in sound settings on my TV are TV speakers or Bluetooth. If I choose the TV Bluetooth option  for my headphones, the TV speakers are muted. Not sure if this mutes the optical audio out under these circumstances and can't check at the moment as my wife is watching the TV and must not be disturbed or else 🙄. I will check later and get back to you. Bob

  • I think you've answered my question.  See, if I choose anything other than sound bar (hdmi) under my sound options , than everything else will get muted too. There's really no point for me to use the rear Bluetooth speakers if I can't use the sound bar as well. I wouldn't have the surround sound that I wanted. When I choose Bluetooth or optical, it mutes my sound bar.lol That device you have would have worked perfect for me if it weren't for the TV being so dumb. The audio out only let's you choose one output. The device is more for tv's that do not have Bluetooth or need additional bluetooth devices connected.

@Bobbywolly If I choose the TV Bluetooth option  for my headphones, the TV speakers are muted.

I forgot to mention to you, Bob. If you go into your TV settings. Your menu may differ from mine. But, if you go to general>accessibility>than scroll to multi-output Audio. Turn that on. Then your TV speakers should work and not be muted when you turn on Bluetooth. You can hook up Bluetooth speakers and your TV speakers will will stay on. It will allow you to use both bluetooth and tv speakers together. I know it defeats the purpose of using your headphones while the TV is muted. But, when you choose anything other than TV speakers as the sound output. This option is unavailable. Not sure what happens when you use the optical output on this setting
