How to remove the flashing mute icon?

Is anyone aware if it's possible to mute the TV without the mute symbol continually flashing on the left-hand side of the screen?  It's very irritating, and completely unnecessary.

I have a 2023 Frame TV.

Did you manage to find a solution to this? Having the same issue.

I didn't. All you can do is reduce the volume to zero, rather than mute it.
