Anyone got any pointers on connecting using rdp to my windows 10 pro machine from my TV (an S95B 2022 model)?

I use other PC's to connect to this computer everyday so I know rdp is working fine. My TV is connected via ethernet as is the remote computer but, despite several attempts, the TV always fails to connect. Can anyome help?

Thanks in advance,

I've only ever casted to my TV or used it as a monitor but never used the remote desktop via the TV so I'm not 100% certain? I would imagine it being a bit slow and you would probably need to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the TV. You can find more information here https://www.samsung.com/latin_en/support/tv-audio-video/how-to-use-the-remote-access-on-your-samsung....

Hi Paul, I am not sure sure why you think it would be slow; everything is connected through gigabit ethernet. I can use remote desktop from another PC or even my Raspberry Pi just fine. I have already been through the link you sent but it is extremely basic. If anyone has any practical experience of using this that would be great. Does this 'feature' actually work or is it just another useless part of the Samsung interface?

You won't have a connection higher than the TV's network card regardless of a Gigabit connection. Anyway, in relation to your question you will need Windows RDM on the TV for this to work which is not supported. I think Paulc59's post is the best route to interact with the PC.

I am not worried about the speed of the connection: 1Gb (or even less) is just fine.

What is this Samsung App (Remote Desktop) for if not using it to connect to computers using the RDP protocol? Why do I need Windows RDM? Is it not sufficient to have a simple rdp client app? The link does not provide any meaning help on solving this problem.

RDP is not designed for TVs. Yes, an app like I use on my phone is fine but it won't work on a TV.
You will not get this working. Been there, read the book, got the T Shirt etc.
