I have a Samsung UE40HU6900 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, 40" with Freeview HD and I use an HDMI switcher to connect it to a TV ( a SONY) in the kitchen. The SONY tv hangs on the wall immediately behind the Samsung so all the HDMI cables are reasonably short.
I can switch the signal through the 4 way HDMI switch and send a copy of what is showing on the Samsung to the SONY in the kitchen and this works for both Off Air Freeview and BT YouView signals but not for Smart Hub channels. The tv in the kitchen continues to show whatever was showing on the Samsung before I switched it to Smart Hub.
Can anybody explain why this is the case?
