So why dose my tv need to set up a device for hdmi how do I stop this so I can use a hdmi switch and be able to easily use all of my consoles with out needing to plug and unplug everything.
You should be able to skip the setup of HDMI. Also, where this has been set up, you should be able to make changes in the settings section, look for HDMI, and set to auto detect. This was my last experience about 5 months ago.
