firmware update on 55" QN95B adds new icon to Media Home screen

The most recent update added a new icon on Media Home Screen, right next to apps button. As reported here:

It does nothing, it cannot be moved or removed, it's just there, as the author of the above article says. Does anyone know what is it?

It's where they display a smaller version of the adverts at the top half of your display. I have a S95B Oled and it's the same software as what mine started with. These days you can't even spend £2k on a tv and not get adverts baked in.

I assumed it must be advertising related somehow, but it doesn't show anything Hope it stays so, and remains sufficiently unintrusive.
