I have a Samsung UE43RU7400 (2019) HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, and I am very happy with it. I never use the Smart Remote (just the regular one), but the TV keeps saying it can't connect to the Smart Remote and I have to wait for the prompt to disappear before I can get on with watching. I don't want to use the Smart Remote, so I took the batteries out of it. The TV still prompts me about the missing remote. I can't see a setting that disables it.
Does anyone know how I can just permanently disable the Smart Remote and get rid of these annoying prompts? Thanks

Bit late to this but the following works -
Samsung remotes from 2016 onwards have a factory reset process that differs from the pairing process.
Keep them held until the led on the remote stops flashing.

My QE55Q7FNA is going in the bin if I can't get rid of this message. Never going to buy another Samsung TV again.

Aware this thread is a few years old but I've just found the solution on a random youtube video:
Turn the TV off, on the remote press the following buttons once in this order - Mute - Volume Down - Channel Down - Mute
Your TV will come on after pressing channel down but it worked a charm for me on a QN95B, hopefully this helps others

This did work but came back after it came out if standby the next day but I'll keep trying it. Definitely closest I've gotten so far.
