I now have signia stretta hearing aids with bluetooth. I have tried to connect them to my Q80CA 50 tv but the tv bluetooth fails to pick them up on scan. Can anyone tell me if this tv model is compatible (ASHA) or if I need to get a streaming device.

Samsung TVs are not compatible with ASHA, but some Samsung Galaxy devices are:

ASHA-compatible Samsung Galaxy devices

These devices support Audio Streaming for Hearing ***** (ASHA), which allows you to connect your hearing aid to your device via Bluetooth:

Galaxy Z Fold6

Galaxy Z Flip6

Galaxy S24 + (SM-S926U)

Galaxy A 25 (SM-A256U)

Galaxy S24 (SM-S921U)

Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928U)

Galaxy A35 (SM-A356U)

ASHA-supported devices

Android devices with Android 11 or higher can use ASHA to stream audio to hearing *****.

yes the S20 and some older Devices are compatible, as mentioned not Samsung Tv's though.  Details here https://www.audioservice.com/en/accessories/apps/compatibility/

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
