Can't find "movie" or "natural" picture mode since latest update on my qe55q70r TV

Hello,

Something strange is going on with my QE55Q70R tv.

Since it updated to a new firmware a few days ago, I have only been able to select 2 out of 4 picture modes.

Before the update, I could select "natural", "movie", "dynamic" or "Standard"

Now only the latter 2 are available.

I cannot select "movie" or "natural" as you can see on the picture below.

I checked in the e-manual but all 4 picture modes are still mentioned.

Does anybody else have this problem?

Did something go wrong with the update?

Will this issue be fixed in the next update or are these two modes gone forever?

Hi there @mshchwt ,

 

Can you give me some more information? Is the complete Model Code of the TV QE55Q70RALXXN?

See the sticker on the back of the TV. Is the current software version of the TV the 1356.2?

At Settings->Support->About this TV. So far i haven't heard anything about this problem.

I assume you live in the Netherlands?

 

I would like to hear from you ..

Hello,

 

Thank you for getting back to me so fast.

The model is indeed a QE55Q70RALXXN

The current software is 1356. (not 1356.2) but no further updates are available. (I have also tried to update it manually).

I live in Belgium and I got the TV from Mediamarkt.

I suppose they got it supplied from the Netherlands or from Flanders.

Did you see the picture? You can see only 2 options are available (standard and dynamic)

 

I would be grateful if you could provide me with more information regarding this issue, report it if necessary and hopefully find a way to solve it.

This is a strange issue. I have no explanation for this right now.

Yes. It's completely independant of the source.

Have you looked at the picture I posted?

You can clearly see there are only 2 options available :  "dynamic" and "standard" Only 2 picture optionsOnly 2 picture options

Prior to the latest update, 4 options were available, the other two being "movie" and "natural".

Could anyone try to replicate this on another Tv set?

I'm not in the position to test things out unfortunately, but have you tried resetting the TV already? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077524/
