Using dex with monitor

Hi I don't know if anyone could help me but I am using Samsung dex on my tab s8 plus to monitor using hdmi but the sound is still on the tablet but don't know how to use the samsung sound bar instead

In the notification shade, tap Media Output. Does it show an option to switch to HDMI or anything other than Tablet.

There is an option in the Settings for Dex to auto switch media output when you launch it.
