Tab S4 video playback problem

I have just bought a Tab S4, changing from a Google Pixel C. I play video over my home network and had no problem with the Pixel but the S4 is not playing most, but not all  WMV, files. I can hear audio but no picture.

I am guessing that it is a codec problem but I am not sure how to resolve this. I have tried various video apps. Any help would be appreciated
