Are you using a different charger
To the one that came with the tablet
Also click on the get help button
At the bottom of the samsung members page
And run a diagnostic test

It's virtually impossible to diagnose a hardware issue without sight of the device. It sounds like there is an issue with the repair. Perhaps get it professionally repaired.

@Scrumdidly: Did you have the USB port replaced at an authorised Samsung Service Centre or Experience Store? Can you try pressing and holding on the Samsung Members app icon > Diagnostics > Cable Charging, and connecting to your charger to see if this flags any issues?
