Recently purchased the Galaxy Tab s7 and it shows a software update available. Anytime I try to download and install I get the error Failed to update software. The downloaded file is invalid. Try downloading again. Any suggestions on what the problem is? It’s shows:
Version T870XXS2BUJI1 / T870OXM2BUI1
size: 1319.40 MB
Security patch level: Oct 1, 2021

I have same problem. Repeat, no joy. Been this way since Mar 2022. Tablet was purchased January. Took it to the t-mobile store. Same. They thought it was a bad update. Apparently Not. Anyone out there have a solution?

Don't force it to update. My S7 tablet (aka sm-t870...) just became a brick all because I let it update. So maybe just use it and if something doesn't work in the future, then let it update? I'm not having any luck with support to get my tablet back either.
