It looks like water damage if u can put the tablet in a tub of rice it should soak it up after a couple of hours but if that don't help maybe go to the phone shop or something like that.

It could also be if it ain't water damage is your son could have accidentally laid on it in his sleep but if he put it on his nightstand or wherever before he went asleep it wouldn't be that.

Hi @webbywoo15

I would suggest to back everything up, and contact samsung support, and book a repair.

If it's water damage don't put your tablet into the rice or any electronic devices, it could do more damage to your device, as rice particles can stuck in devices ports. Also rice has grain dust, which is also bad for your device, and putting any electronic device into rice won't do anything, as if water enters inside of your device the corrosion in internal parts could start almost immediately, and can accelerate fast, and putting into the bag of rice won't help at all, every repair shop will tell you not to put devices in rice.

Hi, @webbywoo15. I've seen the photo of the tablet's display, but removed it (simply because it showed the serial number of your son's tablet, and it's best to obscure this from the public forum).

Please feel free to edit your post and add a photo of the display without the serial number being shown.

In the meantime, I highly recommend liaising with our Support Teams here:
