New Skype account needed

Hi Samsung Community I need to open a new Skype account   I have a Tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab A  10.1   Does anybody know how I can open a new Skype account to enable me to buy some credit on Skype to I can call and text my BF   at present Microsoft are insisting that I also buy things on Google Play and at present this is unaffordable for us

I would be grateful if somebody could help me
