@SJam: Please can you confirm the model number and current Android version of your tablet? These details can be found in Settings > About tablet > Model number, followed by Software Information > Android version.
In the meantime, please try restarting your tablet to address any temporary software issues that might be a contributing factor. If you have a screen protector on the device, head to Settings > Display > Touch sensitivity, and toggle this option on.
