Had my Tab S8 11" for nearly 3 years and use it every day for work and entertainment.
Workhorse and I love it.
Looking forward to get a new one this year (upgrade)

I bought an s9fe tablet around 6 months ago. It is a great tablet for general use... has a 10.9 inch screen, so for me is a good size for handling.

For media viewing, general browsing and other typical use i am impressed with the cost versus features.

Just to bear in mind that the mediatek processor is not the best range, so if your use cases include things like processing videos or playing games then you might want to go to the next level of s10+ or likewise.

My s9fe does allow me to do some video editing, but at times I can see it starting to reach its capability limits.

The new S10fe has now been released and if I were considering a tablet right now... that would likely be on my shortlist.

With Tech. I go for the Top and newest of the lot that I can afford.

That way I future proof myself and covered for software updates.

I do similar- even if I dont "need" it right now- as time goes on and stuff get more demanding it has that headroom

Also With each software updates the budget ones start to lag and the chips can't cope.

Exactly—people forget. Updates aside, the rules of technology and chipsets, silicon--- just how they diminish over time etc., regardless of how well it is cared for. That extra headroom is nice

Sometimes I think it does come down to the main use cases. I very nearly bought an s10+... in fact i did order one, and then cancelled it after a bit more research.

The price difference was some £1000 for an S10+ or £450 for an S9 fe. So if the use is typically for general media and non- intensive tasks, then costs do play a part.

The s9fe also has an s pen although non-BT... and has a host of features still.

Personally i can't keep buying the top end of everything 🤪

In this last year i have bought:
S25 ultra
Buds 3 pro
Watch ultra
Galaxy tab s9fe
A nebula capsule 3 projector.

And next month I am very keen on a fold 7... should the specs be good. I have already started my saving pot. 😀

Sometimes things have to give, and a need to make a compromise.

There's definitely a balance of benefit/cost. Being that the S9 FE is still a relatively new device and significantly cheaper, I can see that decision.

I did find the "I can't keep buying the top end of everything"—proceeds to list a whole list of top-end products, then a plan to buy the next—relatable.

It's always good to sit on a decision. I bought the Watch Ultra and cancelled it four times before getting the Watch 7.
